This is the first time in New England, much less the USA that a commercial facility has combined large scale solar hot water and solar heated air systems within arms reach of eachother.

Shift Energy was the selected Design/Build contractor to construct a 64 collector solar hot water system for the facility in 2011. This system is designed to provide up to 80% of summer hot water use, or 5,000 to 6,000 gals per day on average.

The project was completed with the help of NH PUC Solar Thermal Rebate funding (aka Commercial & Industrial Solar Thermal Rebates, or C&I Solar Thermal rebates), and was completed with enough savings for the inclusion of a Solar Hot Air project, which followed in 2012.

The Solar Hot Air system is the Lubi™ Solar system by Enerconcept Technologies, and was also designed and constructed by Shift Energy. It feeds minimum of 3,500cfm of solar heated ventilation air to a roof-top-HVAC unit, with a capacity of up to 14,000cfm when used at 100%.
