Shift Energy completed this 8 collector solar hot water system in partnership with our client Preservation of Affordable Housing of Boston, MA.

 

The installation went great, and the commissioning went off without a hitch.

 

We were a little concerned about the fact that the building didn’t have a south facing roof available for solar collectors, so our system was almost 45 degrees to south.

 
We lowered the collector tile to improve summer outputs, and already we’ve been reaching well over 100 deg temps every day as we head into the dead of winter...

 

Charlie did a bang up job in the mechanical room with the piping, and was joined by Glen to do the grunt work on the roof.

 

With 30 odd apartments in the building using hot water, this system is having no troubles keeping up!
